Free ways to help the Environment

MAKING A DIFFERENCE DOESN'T HAVE TO COST YOU MONEY. THERE ARE PLENTY OF WAYS TO GIVE BACK BY SIMPLY DONATING YOUR TIME INSTEAD. WHEN IT COMES TO ANIMALS AND THE EARTH, THAT IS THE LEAST WE COULD DO TO GIVE BACK. CHANGE ISN'T POSSIBLE WITH OUT TIME OR COMMITMENT, THAT CHANGE STARTS WITH YOU.

Recycle, don't litter, and encourage others to do the same.

Littering is the number one cause of issues with the environment today. The second is pollution from not recycling. An easy and highly effective way to help the environment from anywhere in the world is to implement keeping trash where it belongs and recycling into your daily routine, and make sure everyone around you does as well.

Clean up everywhere you go.

Litter is not only deadly for the environment- but for its wildlife as well. Foreign substances of many kinds that are made by humans can be extremely toxic if consumed by a wild animal, it also pollutes the environment around it. Keep trash bags with you or in your car and anytime you see trash or items in nature or where they don't belong- pick it up and dispose of it.

Walk/Bike rather than driving if you are able.

Most communities are designed to be bike/ walkable. If your are able, try to walk or bike to at least one of your daily destinations per week or as often as you can. If enough people begin to implement this routine, the potential to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gases is extremely great.

Straw-less Drinks

When ordering your usual Starbucks drink, soda, or water at the restaurant, if possible- ask for no straw or invest in some reusable straws to keep on your person. Plastic is a huge leading cause of environmental issues. Plastic straws are the most common form of plastic to be littered, and plastic straws in particular are extremely hard to recycle. If the usual place you visit offers reusable cups, I highly recommend investing in one of those as well.
