The information provided is a combination of resources that have worked for me personally as well as some other links and resources that I thought would be fitting for all different types of people. Counseling:
The first thing I’ll recommend for more severe mental troubles Is counseling because I am not a professional, and someone who is trained in helping people defeat these things is far more likely to be a reliable resource for your individual needs. When it comes to PTSD, having someone to talk to is very beneficial so they are able to work with you on individual needs. Counselors can also help provide an outside perspective on solutions to certain problems.
Physical Activity:
Spending your time doing mindful physical activities when dealing with trauma is extremely beneficial. It is a very good way to process and conclude mentally at the same time as physically. When your body is working in a healthy way, your mind will as well.
Socialization
Socializing can be an iffy solution to PTSD, but if done in a healthy manor it can be another extremely beneficial one for many different reasons. You don't want to drown feelings out by being overly social, but getting to know other people and their stories, as well as spending time with the ones you love will help keep your emotional stability in balance.
Meditation:
This one wont be for everybody right away. However I truly feel that addressing trauma in a gentle healthy form is extremely useful in moving forward with life. That being said- if you're not one who is interested in doing that with a counselor, I would highly suggest attempting to use a guided meditation from somebody who knows how to appropriately help you through your journey. If you more hardcore and open to a larger, potentially faster form of progress- and have experience with meditation- I've provided a couple instrumentals that work well for self healing.
